(This post is written in collaboration with JORD Watches, but all ideas/words/opinions are my own.)
Hello Pumpkin!
Yes, I went there.
In my humble opinion it is Basic Witch season and Fall is now in full swing! Have you been to Starbucks yet? No? Go NOW!
Today I have decided it would be fun to share a side of me I don’t typically share. I like to think of myself as the opposite of outdoorsy. However, my husband has really turned me into an intermediate indoor/outdoor person.
We like to spend our weekends back at both of our childhood homes, and when we are there we are mostly doing things outside. I love that my husband’s childhood home sits on so much land. His parents have a small wooden cabin down their massive hill. It’s in a largely wooded area and we spend so much time down there.
We enjoy nightly bonfires, making s’mores, roasting hot dogs, and drinking some seasonally festive drink (always non-alcoholic). When the weather gets cool we snuggle up in the cabin on the big comfy couches around the fireplace. We always have the best time. And we make the best memories when we’re down the hill.
Something I try to do every Fall to make life a little easier is create my go-to outfit. This outfit must be easily adaptable to any given casual occasion. Something I can throw on to run errands, grab lunch, meet friends, go on a casual date, walk around an outside craft show or junk fest, etc. I like this outfit to be pretty understated with minimal jewelry because I am constantly chasing a toddler or carrying an eight month old.
This year my Fall look came together fairly easy because I just added a vest to last year’s go-to look, but it didn’t feel complete. I needed some accessory to keep it all together, and I have been staying away from necklaces and earrings because Cecelia is in a very grabby stage. A watch made the perfect sense!
If you remember this post from last year, I have talked about JORD Wooden Watches before! Last year was all about gifting a watch to men, so Justin got a wooden watch from JORD for his dress wear. He still wears his watch every Sunday for Mass and to every other special occasion we dress up for. His watch has stayed in perfect condition without any faults, so when JORD reached out asking if I’d be interested in another collaboration I was thrilled!
Made from the beautiful heart of Olive wood, my watch is from the Cassia series and features an Aegean Blue center. I love the blue feature because it really adds to the overall character of the timepiece. It is simple to wear with pretty much anything and really completes my Fall wardrobe as a whole! Plus, I love how unique a wooden watch is in itself.
