I have decided to do a countdown to Valentine’s day with gift ideas, outfit ideas, and date night ideas! I would have decoration ideas, but it’s not really a holiday I normally decorate for.. I better step-up my game for next year!!
One thing I’ve learned in the past 8 years of celebrating Valentine’s Day with the same man, is that you can never go too big or too small with a Valentine’s gift.
It’s fun to really surprise your special guy with a nice gift that they didn’t expect, though. I LOVE surprising J with gifts he has no idea he is getting! I seriously have the best husband, too. He is so happy that I even remember to think of him.. He’s too sweet!
Anyway, here is a good starting list to think about for your guy this Valentine’s Day!
- Beard Wash. I actually bought this for J for Christmas. It smells great and is such a fun and easy gift to give any guy, not necessarily just a significant other! It’s perfect for those relationships that are just beginning, too!
- Lululemon Long Sleeve. These long sleeve tops are staples in J’s closet. He has about four and gets a new one every time we visit a Lululemon store or trunk show. They are made from moisture wicking thread and are so comfortable!
- Decanter. I have this really odd obsession with the television series Mad Men. And this decanter reminds me of the 1950s-esque style of the show. Plus, you can personalize this one!
- Ale Horn. Justin LOVES his ale horns (he has two currently). It’s so Game of Thrones.. We have discussed getting a full set of tall and short mugs. They make the best gifts for any occasion, I know my brother-in-law to be is thinking about these for groomsmen!
- Sherpa Blanket. Who doesn’t love big fluffy blankets!? No one, that’s who. This buffalo plaid print is perfect for anyone. I mean, I kind of want it…
- Cuff Links. I really love to get accessories for J’s dress clothes. His job doesn’t require or allow him to wear dress clothes, so he takes every opportunity he gets to dress up. These cuff links combine his two loves, dressing like a stud and hunting! The links are made up of materials from elk antlers. So cool!!
- Monogram Wallet. Something no guy can live without is a wallet! This one is leather, and can be monogrammed, which is classy. And classy is sweeeeet..
- Trunks. Now, I couldn’t make a list without a tacky pair of men’s underwear.. So here you go!
- ThinkGeek. Another one of J’s favorites.. This is really a great website for any guy! (or even girl, been eyeing that Hogwarts scarf..) It has merchandise from all the popular television shows, movies, video games, and books. A gift card from Think Geek would be the perfect gift!
Now, this is a list semi-catered to my hubby. All these items are things he already loves or are on my list of gifts to buy! The Valentine’s count down has officially begun!!
