It’s Thursday today, and I’m sure you’re ready for the Fourth of July weekend to proceed!
I am typing this from the comfort of my Grand-In-Law’s cabin, and let me tell you, it feels wonderful. I’m out of the house with no worries about the silly stresses that plague my everyday.
Vacation is all I ever wanted. 🙂
About three months ago now, I started a little wedding series on the blog. It seemed to go over pretty well. With finding out about our pregnancy and taking on a bit more duties in my every day life, I had started to really slack on the blog!
I won’t be doing a weekly wedding guest segment, but I will throw in some tips every now and again. Today is one of those tip days and I can’t wait to share it with you!
Sometimes we get this idea in our brains that we can’t ever wear the same outfit twice. I, myself, am one of those kind of thinkers. I never seem to wear the same outfit twice!
Now, there is nothing wrong with that if you re-wear the pieces you purchased. But.. what about dresses? Why is it that we NEED to have a dress for every special occasion that comes up in our life, but we refuse to wear that dress ever again for the sake of not committing fashion suicide!?
Something I’ve learned in the last year or so is not just to let myself be open to wearing the same dress more than once, but to learn when to wear it and how to style it differently! I will address that situation in a later post, but for now let’s talk about the go to dress of the 2017 wedding season: the long, dusty rose evening dress.
This dress is the dress to trump all wedding guest dresses of this wedding season because it’s the perfect silhouette and color for any wedding theme you will come across this year. The color is soft and feminine and the style is elegant and dainty. You can dress it up, or down. You’ll never look out of place!

The dress I am wearing is from the summer of 2015. I can honestly say it is probably my most worn dress, also!
A couple events I have worn it to include: my first Maternity photos, Lewi’s baby shower, Easter, and a wedding.
Every event I’ve worn this style to has paid off with major compliments from different people of all ages, so I know it was a great purchase!
I believe this is the style to wear to any wedding you attend this summer, fall, or even winter! The color is so timeless and doesn’t really identify with a certain season. Therefore, it makes the perfect go-to dress of the wedding season!
