Hello Lovely!!
It’s almost that glorious time of year again.
We’ve had a taste of the beautiful Fall weather that’s to come later this season thanks to the cool temperatures of the last five days. I don’t know about you, but next Tuesday I will be in the Starbucks drive-thru as they release their pumpkin season favorites! Mark your calendars for August 28!
I love this time of year, and to me it’s the best time for fashion. The early Fall season is still warm enough to leave the house without a jacket, and I love being able to leave my house without the fear of the inevitable sweat. So lucky am I to live in a state that experiences every season to the truest and fullest capacity!
As you all know by now, we are expecting baby number three (due early March of 2019)!! So, this year – like last year – I am really trying to dress for comfort. Let’s just be honest for a quick second, I am ALWAYS dressing for comfort. I don’t know why I’m using pregnancy as an excuse!
There’s just something so nice about knowing you’re going to be comfortable all day, and not want to change into sweats as soon as you walk through your front door. This dress is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The fabric is the most breathable, soft, lightweight material I have ever had in a piece of clothing. It feels like the more luxurious brands of baby clothes I buy for Cece. Seriously, that’s all I’ve ever wanted in life. Okay, that was a bit dramatic, but you get what I’m saying!
Something I like to wear, but typically can’t pull-off unless I’m pregnant are stripes. Stripes are timeless. Stripes are appropriate for every season! They are not great, however, on non-pregnant Taylor as I have a large chest and small frame. They definitely make me appear very large. I thought it was just horizontal stripes, but I even have bad angles in vertical stripes. Pregnancy changes all of this because my large belly balances out my chest. And let’s face it, stripes are just a must-have for all pregnant women. They are so flattering on that baby bump!
I was so excited to get this dress from Pink Blush because they have them available in regular women’s non-maternity sizes as well! I know not all my followers are expecting, so I was happy that this dress isn’t limited to just expectant mommas!! The length of the sleeves is unique in that it’s not quite short sleeve but also not 3/4, either. I also love the midi length. It’s really just a great option for Fall for all mommas and non-mommas!
I styled the dress with my favorite black fedora, Gucci belt, and faded burgundy booties. I love that it’s officially bootie season again. So many heart eyes for this look.
Also.. I forgot to mention the most important feature of this buttery, soft dress. IT HAS POCKETS!!
Why is that such a selling point now days? If I’m on the fence about buying a dress and then learn it has pockets, it’s in my shopping cart. It’s so silly because I don’t think I ever even use the pockets in a dress unless I’m carrying tissues at a wedding. So silly, but seriously a great selling point!!
