Hey Boo!
We are approaching Halloween really fast here. I still have to get the pieces to finish Cece’s costume today.
We are bringing the kids to the Boo at the Zoo event being held tomorrow (Saturday, October 20) at the Red River Zoo. Lewi is pretty excited about his costume, and I’m pretty excited about the classic duo these two will be impersonating.
I was having a hard time deciding what we would do for Halloween costumes this year. I feel like there has been a world of pressure put on Instagram moms to top all the other family costumes, and I just have to put my white flag up this year. We had a GREAT idea, and I was so excited to pull it off, but things changed. I overestimated the stress my body would take on from buying a new home. I overestimated the amount of money, time, and energy I was actually willing to put into costumes. And honestly, pregnancy has just been kicking my ass these last few weeks. But, it’s okay! We will keep our idea — and I can plan for next year. I’ll have one more tiny body to clothe, and I can’t wait!
This is my first time blogging post-move and to be honest I was dreading getting back to it. That sounds so silly because as I type it feels so good, and I now realize how much I need this in my everyday life. (Don’t worry, I’ll be posting plenty about our home in the coming weeks, months, years. We are still getting things to where we want them. I haven’t even decorated yet!)
Halloween weekend will be when we find out the gender of this little nugget dancing in my tum. I am so excited to finally put a name to the sweet kicks that rumble in my belly. I have asked Instagram to decide what team (boy or girl) they are on in one of my latest posts. It makes me laugh when people comment on how I’m carrying the baby or tell me they are never wrong with their predictions. First of all, I have carried all of my babies the EXACT same.
I don’t have many bump pictures from my pregnancy with Lewi, but I vividly remember that first sweet bump. I do have pictures later in my first pregnancy and they are practically the same as those compared to my second. The only difference was the amount of weight I gained between the two. I was healthier and gained less weight with Cece. Comparing bump pictures thus far to those of my last pregnancy and they’re near identical. I am always excited to hear people’s guesses though, so be sure to put yours in the comments!
Something I have been on the hunt for as of late is a good thin sweater. I need something to throw on when I do laundry, bake cookies, or go grab the mail. Thanks to Pink Blush, I finally found the perfect thing to lounge around the house wearing. Don’t get me wrong it’s cute enough to wear out for errands, but I’ve been spending a LOT of time in the house, and I plan to keep it that way for the next few months. We have been blessed with some warm, sweater weather this week. I was still able to wear this beauty on a couple walks.
I’m wearing my normal size small, and it’s bump-friendly but also super cute on bumpless ladies!
The fabric is nice and lightweight making it so easy to layer as the weather drops in the coming weeks. I love that there’s not a whole lot of fabric to fuss with when I’m doing my everyday mom stuff. Hot flashes are a real thing, especially during pregnancy and nursing and most of the time you’re not thrilled wearing a sweater. This sweater really helps with that – also to mention would be PERFECT for nursing mommas!

You can shop this sweater here, it comes in multiple colors and is so flattering on all body types!
I can’t wait to style it for going out.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
