Hello Lovely!
Today, I wanted to take the time to discuss Prime Wardrobe.
I, myself, have taken the steps to test out the experience for you. And in turn, decide whether or not it is worth it!
Let’s begin with a little backstory.
A month or so ago, I found this great pair of espadrilles for summer. They were on the more expensive side, so I definitively wanted to try them on before making the purchase.
The issue I had was location.
These shoes were at no store near me to try on. Nordstrom had them, and their return policy is flawless — but I really didn’t want to be charged unless I was 100% certain. That sounds a tad silly because I would have been reimbursed, but it’s just how my brain processed the worth.
Thinking I had no solution to this issue, I let the shoes go.
They taunted me every time I opened my favorites on the LikeToKnow.it app.
A couple weeks went by and COVID-19 hit the U.S.. We were just beginning our quarantine period, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to do any try-ons for you. So, I started looking for more creative ways to blog entirely from home.
From my own curiosity, I decided to check out Prime Wardrobe.
I had been hearing about it for months from celebrity bloggers. I also knew these bloggers were being compensated for their own advertising. So, I felt the need to further my personal research.
After doing a LOT of reading, I was very confused. This program sounded much better than any other clothing subscription I’ve ever seen advertisements for (and I considered working for StitchFix back in the day).
First off, if you are currently a Prime member (which I believe most people are), this subscription is totally free to you. The only thing you need is a credit card to put on file.
Secondly, you can pick what you want to try.
Most subscriptions automatically set you up with a stylist, and don’t let you do any of the shopping yourself. This can be amazing for most, but bothersome for others. So, having the ability to shop for yourself is very appealing to me.
Don’t fret if you are one of the majority of people that need a little help! For those that feel overwhelmed by the thousands of pieces to choose from, there is a stylist option called “personal shopper.” You can add a personal shopper to your Prime Wardrobe membership for only $4.99 per month.
Okay, so onto the experience.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the espadrilles mentioned at the beginning of the post were included with Prime Wardrobe! They were the first thing I added to my first order.
You are able to add up to 8 different pieces to try in your order. It can include tops, bottoms, dresses/rompers, shoes, swimwear, and more.
Once you receive your order, you have 7 days to decide what to keep or return.
You can indicate what you’d like to keep and return on your Prime app. You are only charged for the items you keep.
They include the shipping label in the resealable box for your return. Your return is free to you. Drop it off at your closest UPS store when your 7 day trial is up and start your next order immediately!
The eight items I tried were these Vince Camuto espadrilles, this Amazon Brand 3/4 sleeve dress, this Jack by BB Dakota dress, these Levi’s jeans, this Jack by BB Dakota blouse, these Seven Dials mules, this cupcakes and cashmere blouse, and these Barefoot Dreams pajamas.
Fit wise: Everything pretty much fit true to size. I did go up one size in the Levi’s – highly recommend going up one to two sizes. The other item I went up a full size in was the pair of mules.
I really liked basically everything, so choosing was difficult!
Out of all eight items I only kept two. The espadrilles and the pajamas, and they were the most expensive items I tried, but they were too good to send back!
To hear all of my opinions on all the clothes I tried, and watch my actual try-on head over to my Instagram page. I saved the try-on in my highlights bubbles.
After all of this, I highly recommend Prime Wardrobe and am in the process of creating my next order!
If you have any questions, comments, or personal experiences about Prime Wardrobe let me know in the comments.
