Hello Lovely!
It’s Tuesday, and we are all ready for the week in the Magee house. Justin and I are cleansing, and we’re so excited to feel good and healthy this summer!
I talked a little bit about our summer budget earlier this spring and just wanted to revisit that subject today.
We are following a specific budget and every dollar is accounted for. No credit cards, no extra spending. Life is getting pretty repetitive in the wardrobe department around here. So, I was really delighted when Gordmans reached out to me about their re-launching project.
Gordmans is an off-retailer. An off-retailer buys excess inventory from department and specialty stores, to sell at greatly reduced prices. They recently have opened 38 new stores and wanted to celebrate!
Two Thursdays ago I attended the Gordmans Grand Opening Tour when it stopped by the Fargo location! It is so great to find name brands that I know and love for prices that are significantly lower than what I’m used to paying!
When I say brands I know and love, I mean recognizable names like Madewell, Silver Jeans, Marc Fisher, Tretorn, and many more. And when I say significantly reduced prices I mean $200 boots on sale for $15! Like the suede over-the-knee olive boots with a block heel by Marc Fisher laying on my bed.
I was able to find the greatest pair of boyfriend style denim by Silver Jeans. I have NEVER found a pair of boyfriend jeans that are flattering on my figure. Thank you Gordmans for achieving this feat and for only $12!! I always forget we can still wear jeans in North Dakota during the summer, so I’m glad I have these for those chilly rainy nights.
Depending on the style of t-shirt Madewell tops usually range between $24 and $40. I picked up two crew-neck pocket T’s from Gordmans for $4.99 a piece!! Yep. That’s at least an 80% savings if not more. That alone is a reason to go hit up your nearest Gordmans to see if they too carry Madewell. These tops are going to make up the majority of my mom style this summer – relaxed!
I love that I was able to snag this white and blue dress by London Times. I wore it to Mass on Sunday and it was perfect with a simple cognac sandal. This would be the cutest dress for a date while you’re at the lake. Just add a cute summer bag like this one!
I was also lucky enough to find a couple nice blouses to add to my closet that is truly lacking tops. And don’t forget the accessories! These denim espadrille sneakers by Tretorn sitting on my glider will complete any summer outfit, and add the cutest amount of sass. I have been looking at espadrille sneakers for the last three months, not knowing if it was wise to pull the trigger. It was much easier to do when they only cost $14.99!
Not all locations will have the same inventory or merchandise, so I can’t guarantee you that you will find the same items I picked up. But, I can encourage you to go see for yourself. There is so much more than just clothing anyway.
The home decor section almost put me into a coma with all the pretty things I wanted to place in my cart!! I swear, I could furnish my entire home for every season with Gordmans selection of home decor. Speaking of which, I think I may need to go back for a couple kitchen rugs that spoke to me!
Have you been to your local Gordmans since their Grand Opening Tour? What did you get when you were there? If you haven’t been there yet, what’s stopping you now?
