Hello Lovely!
It’s February, and that means it’s time to start thinking about Valentine’s day.
I always love this time of year, and honestly — I hope to have baby number three around this time in two years.. maybe next year. We’ll see!
Typically I decorate for every season. But with nursing on demand, a crazy toddler that doesn’t stand still, and a hubby that is on the opposite sleep schedule as the rest of us, it has been difficult to find the time to take a shower. Let alone decorate for Valentine’s day.
I mean, I have only had my Christmas decorations put away for three weeks. I’m just a tad behind this year.
The housewives of the fifties have my utter most respect. How the hell did they do it?
Through all the craziness, I have actually found time to put together my daytime and nighttime looks sure to impress St. Valentine, himself.
This year I will be sharing three different looks for Valentine’s day to benefit different celebrations of Love Day!
If you don’t follow me on Instagram, you can find my personal Valentine’s date look here. All the details will find the blog sometime before next Wednesday.
Today’s look is for your favorite Galentine’s rituals.
Sweater: Express · Jeans: Levi’s · Loafers: Express · Belt: Old, similar · Beret: Onyx+Pearl, similar · Satchel: Kate Spade, similar
I am a big believer in restyling!
As you can see, I shared a similar use of a Christmas sweater from last year’s Valentine’s look.
Why not get one more wear out of a bright red sweater that you will have to put away on February 15?
These are my favorite jeans. They’re by Levi and I absolutely love them! I have seen different variations of this style come out for spring, and I think I need to invest in some more.
I just picked up these silver loafers and they are the bomb! They totally dress up any look and are still comfortable. (Pro tip: The toe is a little long, so if you have shorter toes they may drag when you walk.)
Of course my favorite Kate Spade made her appearance. I think it’s time to invest in a new satchel, but I don’t carry a handbag very often now that I need a diaper bag. My mom life is too prominent at this point. Some day I will have it together!
This beret is adorable and I picked it up from the downtown Fargo boutique Onyx + Pearl for only ten dollars. Score! I think it really adds a feminine touch to this ensemble.
I hope you have something fun planned for Valentine’s day! Let me know about your plans in the comments!
