(This post is in collaboration with NuRoo Baby. All thoughts and words are my own.)
Hello Lovely!
It has been forever since my words have graced your screen, and for that I apologize.
Life has been unpredictable to say the least.
Life.
Mine has really changed dramatically since my last post.
I had been talking about packing my hospital bag, and knowing that I would be really changing my approach to the blog in the new year. I was hoping to have a total relaunch by the first of the year, but then I became of mother of TWO.
We welcomed our Cece girl into the world on December 4, 2017. I will properly introduce her to the blog within the next week.
I knew thought it would be difficult to have another baby. I remembered the sleep deprivation of baby number one very well. But there was nothing to prepare me for this. I mean, I’ve never been a mother of two before.
To all the other mommas out there, I solute you. You are a superhero, and very underappreciated! I want you to know that I appreciate you.
Before I get way too far into emotions and mental health, let’s get on subject!
The first three months postpartum are considered to be the fourth trimester. They are hard, but so worth it.
One company (NuRoo Baby) has an entire product line to help mommas get through the fourth trimester with ease!
Their products are there to help with all the Mommy&Me essentials. Skin-to-skin contact, nursing, infant car seat covers, high-chair covers, and swaddles.
I’ve had the privilege of testing out these products for the last month to get a really good grasp on their functionality.
Skin-to-skin is so important with newborns! Cece is so attached to me at this point from exclusively nursing, that she needs skin-to-skin contact for a couple hours a day. In comes NuRoo’s Pocket.
Being a stay-at-home mom has its advantages and disadvantages. If your little one is a bit clingy, it can be IMPOSSIBLE to get anything done. I can “wear” my girl all day, if I choose to. This pocket is a Godsend when you have a toddler to run after! I have hands-free access to do anything while I’m still snuggling my baby.
I use the pocket while I’m eating, getting ready, packing (we’ve been traveling a lot, lately), doing activities with Lewi and just lounging. It really helps this momma out, and I’ve used it almost daily since I received it! I also love that I can throw a cardi on over it.
Nursing has become my number one job. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I am a wife and mother at foremost, but nursing is my schedule. It’s the thing I plan my days around. Shopping, doctor’s appointments, sporting events (my younger siblings are active in high school sports), grocery shopping, and anything else that requires me to leave the comfort of my own home revolves around my breastfeeding schedule.
Sometimes I have to nurse when I’m not at the convenience of being in my own home. This is where the scarf and multi-use cover have saved my life! Depending on my top, I chose one or the other to pack in the diaper bag.
Starting with this Scarf.
I have never felt a scarf with this material before. It’s light-weight, yet opaque. The fabric is breathable and soft. I love that you can customize the coverage with the snaps!
The cover is pretty handy and is my favorite nursing cover!!
Pro tip: I leave one arm out when I’m nursing for more access.
It can also be used as a car seat cover(my second favorite use), a cover for public high-chairs, or a cover for store carts to add a little extra comfort to your kiddos.
Moving onto the swaddler. This item is pretty self-explanatory, but let me tell you — it’s a goody! Swaddling is so important with a baby’s development and sleep.
The swaddler grows with your baby through the fourth trimester in two different sized pockets.
I am still finding my groove with this whole raising two children thing, but I’m bound and determined.
If you have any questions about any of the products feel free to ask!
