Spring has finally sprung!!
Happy Tuesday, all. I hope you’ve had a good start to your week, like we have at the Magees!
This week we are squeezing every second out of Daddy possible, so we can get every laugh in with him before he leaves on Saturday for his 5 day hunting trip. Though, I can’t wait for some quality turkey jerky when he returns!
Yesterday was the first day of this week, this glorious week that is supposed to remain in the fifties. We’ve waited for what seems like FOREVER, and had a couple teaser days, but spring is finally here to stay. We had to take advantage of the beautiful day with a family walk.
Last year, we went on a couple walks, but this time will be different. We want to make it a nightly (when plausible) ritual. Lewi loved the entire thing, except when his dad was taking pictures of us and had to run a couple yards away in order to get a decent shot. Lewi took that as his dad was leaving us, poor kid.
We decided the nice weather called for celebration. So, our walking destination was our closest Dairy Queen because.. ice cream. If you have never tried the Frozen Hot Chocolate at DQ, I totally suggest giving it a sip. I get the caramel, and it is my FAVORITE treat there. It definitely adds on the calories, so I always share mine with J. He gets his own creation as well, but that man can pack in ice cream more than any other soul I’ve met. (Also, if you follow my instagram or snapchat, you will see that DQ sent me a ♥ emoji in insta direct message from my instastory — gonna make that into more of a thing than it is because who doesn’t want to feel special!?)
The walk home was a little bit chilly, but being the smarty I am, I brought a light hoodie to cover my hole-y sweater.

Lewi’s Slip-ons: The Children’s Place
Speaking of my sweater, I purchased mine from Evereve, and it’s my favorite mom style item that I own. Seriously. I LOVE it! The oversized shape and all the little details make it so cozy, yet it’d be perfect to wear over a bathing suit at the lake on a windy day. Also, the color is fantastic. I love cream this time of year!
My shorts are from Old Navy, and they were so great to wear on our walk! I believe I’ve stated before that I am loving olive (super on trend) this year. I’ve actually always really loved the color and that really made these shorts an easy “yes”. I purchased them online, so I didn’t really feel the fabric until I got them in the mail. They are between a canvas and linen/flax linen texture. I didn’t know how I’d like them on, but they are surprisingly comfortable! They will be used all spring and summer for running errands, going to the pool, and where ever else my little heart takes me.
These slip-on sneakers are probably one of the best investments I’ve made, thus far, for spring. They are from Gap and completely sold out in black! They do come in another color (blush) that would be great to own, but that is selling out fast too. They fit true to size and have been on repeat since Friday. Not even kidding.
I was asked by a couple followers where I got Lewi’s shoes, so I linked those too. Plus, they are on sale and under $8!
What do you think about toddler fashion? Would you like to see more of Lewi on the blog? Let me know in the comments!
