Hello Lovely!
It’s officially the first day of the 2017 Fall Semester! This means school is now in session, and it’s time to make sure your closet is ready for fall.
Fall is my FAVORITE season and I’m so excited to show you the new pieces I’ve already added to my closet this year!
I already enjoyed my first taste of Pumpkin Spice yesterday. Thank you to my mother-in-law for buying creamer in bulk every year, and freezing the extras! It means I get to enjoy the fall flavor before Starbucks starts selling it.
The last two weeks have been pretty quiet on the blog as I took in the last weeks of summer vacation before returning to college life. Is it really college life when you’re sitting on a computer all day with Netflix playing in the background? Oh, wait. That is what I did during college before I got married and started having babies.
I actually feel more prepared this time around! I’m in my lazy girl lounge wear, snuggling my favorite boy, and beginning all my first week assignments. Wish me luck! Did I mention that I’m due finals week? Enough school talk, let’s get to the good stuff.
Sometimes our fall wardrobes need a little love. May it be a couple new sweaters, a few transitional pieces, or an entire refresh!
Whatever your wardrobe updates may be, this list should address one or all of your needs!

For most of this fall season, I will be living in maternity leggings due to the ever growing bump! When I’m just lounging at home, I live in joggers. And, since I will be taking all my classes online, I thought it’d be necessary to include some lounge wear options.
Sweaters are a no-brain essential for fall. I prefer mine to be cozy and oversized! The first cardi on this list by Free People is everywhere. It’s been blowing up my Instagram for the past week and a half and I am in love with it! It’s a little more than I like to spend on sweaters, so I have decided not to make the purchase until I try it on firsthand.
Ruffles don’t seem to be going away any time soon. I just placed an order that included the ruffle sleeve cardigan, and I’m so pumped to get it! I already have both ruffle sleeved blouses hanging in my closet. And, I couldn’t pass up the “Pumpkin Spice Latte” blouse as it totally embraces my inner “basic” self. No regrets.
Outerwear makes for great transitional pieces in your closet. Moto jackets are a hot fall trend, but can be worn in almost every season! This suede option from BLANK NYC has been on my radar since last year.
Vests are another great outerwear piece that will effortlessly transition your fall wardrobe into winter. This vest by Patagonia is perfect for throwing on over everything and makes for the best football season accessory. Can you say tailgating?
I hope you found this list helpful, and remember if you have any questions or need any advice feel free to contact me via e-mail (thatndgirl@gmail.com).
