Hello Lovely!
So, Easter is on SUNDAY.
Yes. Leave it to me to be completely behind with posting your style inspiration!
To be honest, I had this post almost completely ready last week, but my babies wanted to snuggle and I decided to do that instead. (Feel inclined to giggle.)
So because I am late (as usual), I have decided to post last minute Easter ideas this week.
Today, I am sharing some great inspiration for your Easter look based on the greatest girlgang to grace your television screen.
Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York know style. We have witnessed their Highs and Lows of the late 90s and early 00s. Fortunately, by the first movie they had their shit together, and that is what this inspiration board is based off.
Movie one took us through Carrie and Big’s disaster wedding turned bliss by the end of the two hour film. In between the Penthouse flat and the City Hall “I do’s” we got to experience major style envy.
Carrie: Dress, Sunglasses, Necklace, Shoes
Samantha: Dress, Sunglasses, Earrings, Shoes
Beginning with Miranda Hobbes. Every redhead should take on mustard. Girl, it’s your color and you NEED to own it! This dress has a great shape and adds the best waist to any figure. Keep the look understated with neutrals and you will achieve Miranda’s chic style!
Charlotte York is dignified and refined, and everything about her signature style embodies that stature. Keeping this flirty dress classy with a Cult Gaia inspired bag and mary-janes! These two accessories keep the overall look simple and sophisticated — ala Charlotte.
Could there be a Sex and The City theme without Carrie Bradshaw? Carrie is typically over-the-top with her style throughout the entire series, but when it comes to the movies is much more put together. She keeps her style sleek and effortless with dresses, pumps, and accessories. What would Carrie be without accessories? Add a little flare to your look with a colorful shoe in a classic style!
The name Samantha Jones embodies sex. If there was no Samantha, the show would just be deem “The City.” But this is Easter. It’s no place for pearl thongs. Let’s think of it as the “Middle East” of all holidays. Therefore, let’s tone down the sex appeal with a ruffle to hide some natural shape to this bodicon dress. Keep up the Sam style with loud earrings, expensive styled sunnies, and sophisticated kitten-heels!
I’m not sure if Sex and the City comes to your mind when you’re thinking about what to wear for Easter, but just in case it does you’re covered. I hope you rock your best SATC style this Spring season!
