I was so excited to shop the sale this week and add a few pieces to my closet for summer (if it ever comes).
I chose basic pieces that have a little “spice” to brighten up my wardrobe for this upcoming season!
Let’s talk about number eight, graphic t-shirts are really making a comeback this year. Surprisingly, the Jr. High trend is making its way into my shopping cart more and more these days! This specific t-shirt is a simple downplay on the fitted t’s that graced my eighth grade closet. I was excited to see it back in stock this year after it sold out last Spring.
Peplum blouses were hot, then they were not, and now they seem to be on fire! This simple t-shirt styled peplum taking the first spot on my list is dressed up with a unique lace ruffle. It takes the blouse from everyday to church appropriate!
Gingham isn’t going away just yet! I was hoping the pattern would stick around for this Spring so I could get more use out of some pieces I wasn’t able to wear with the bump last year. I was in luck because the print is still popping up all over this season!
Another print I was almost surprised to still see coming out this season was camo as showcased in item number thirteen. These leggings are seamless and leg-lengthening. Not really, but they definitely give that effect!
If you saw my Instagram story yesterday, you will recognize number twelve on the list! I needed a good pair of black denim shorts, and the exposed button-fly on these is so perfect. I love them so much, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they aren’t too short. However, I am only 5’2″. Anyone taller than 5’5″ will probably run into shorter shorts, and of course that is all based on preference! I tried to find styles that wouldn’t make me feel exposed or self-conscious. I even ordered my shorts from Shopbop, they sold out of the other pair I modeled on my Instagram story.
My current go-to jeans are listed number fourteen, and I highly recommend them to anyone that loves straight styles that suck. you. in. There is absolutely NO stretch to these jeans, and I like them that way. Everything is where it is supposed to be. 😛
I need these avocado espadrilles to match these Freshly Picked moccasins that are in my shopping cart for Miss Cece. We’re going to be so cool. Matching. All the time.
