Hello Lovely!
It’s really been forever since I’ve had a blog post, and I apologize for that!
School and motherhood have taken over my life, and exhaustion has kicked into third gear with this little lady taking all my energy.
I hope you had a chance to read my post on the Motherhood by Kindred website last week! It’s really fun to be able to share my tips and tricks with another website. I really love the ladies over there!
This week is going to be a little different as Justin is spending the week in South Dakota while Lewi and I reside at home. I love my hardworking man so much, but I hate when he has to travel without us.
Yesterday, Lewi decided to mischievously get into the fridge, pull out all the condiments his little arms could reach, and pour all of his dad’s coffee creamer all over the kitchen floor, lower cabinets, and himself. It was the stickiest little mess I’ve had to clean up in the new place. We will be enforcing the fridge locks again this week. (He’s already figured out how to get around all the cabinet childproofing. Justin was so disappointed after spending two hours installing it all.)
Today I want to share some of my favorite current beauty products with you!
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk | Arbonne Lipstick in Rose c/o | Arbonne Lipstick in Dahlia c/o | Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation | Arbonne RE9 Advanced Intensive Renewal Serum c/o | IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara | Arbonne Makeup Primer | NYX Brown Pencil | Miss Dior Eau de Toilette
Let me begin by stating that this post isn’t sponsored by any of the products I’m recommending, I just really love all these products and use them in my current daily regime.
I love that you can mix products from all price points into one look! That is why I love testing out new products and deciding for myself if a splurge is necessary.
Starting with the NYX Jumbo Pencil, I just have to say that this is literally my secret to looking awake and alert every day! The white pencil distracts from the bags and discoloration under my eyes. It has really brightened my look and it’s under $5!!
For lipstick, I have noticed that I am starting to need to wear more through this pregnancy as my lips are really starting to look grey! I still love my mattes, don’t get me wrong, but my favorite Arbonne consultant sent me some lip shades to try out and I have to say that I really like the buttery-smooth texture of Arbonne’s lipstick formula. It has a little shine, but not as crazy as a gloss. I have been using the Rose shade daily. It just adds a little color to my lips without looking overpowering on a daytime face. For night fun, if you’re into a bold lip, I highly recommend the Dahlia shade! I wore it to a wedding last weekend and the only time I needed to reapply was after eating. It’s so long-lasting!!
The next item on the list is the Amazonian Clay Foundation by Tarte. I hate to say this because I really really love my Arbonne foundation, but I think I this one may give it a run for its money! How I even went about trying it stems from my own procrastination. I ran out of my Arbonne and had a wedding to get ready for. I took a trip to Ulta and first tried a foundation by Clinique. That was the biggest mistake.
I was literally breaking-out all over my neck and chest from a small dab of the formula!! It made it impossible to even test any of the other brands I wanted to try. I finally was able to find a remover wipe that cleared up some of the irritation. Then I tried the Tarte foundation and fell in love with the clay formula. It’s 100% vegan like Arbonne, so that enticed me. It leaves my skin with a matte finish and doesn’t feel cake-y or oily at all. It is awesome and I totally recommend giving it a try!
Okay, now to the Arbonne RE9 Advanced Intensive Renewal serum. This is probably my favorite product on the entire list!! It may seem like a little splurge, but firming serums don’t usually come cheap, and this one is Vegan-friendly and safe to use while you’re pregnant. I use this every morning before I put on my makeup and every night after I’ve washed my face. It is AMAZING!! I feel like I’m permanently smiling all day long. I know I’m only 22, but my skin feels so fresh and young it’s almost like I get 10-12 hours of uninterrupted sleep a night! In reality I get about 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep lately. This was even a surprise add-in by Arbonne, I don’t know how I got so lucky!!
Of course my all-time favorite mascara was added to this list. I don’t know if I will find a formula I like more than IT Cosmetic’s Superhero mascara. It doesn’t feel heavy or flake. Make sure you’re changing out your products when their life has expired! There is nothing worse than letting your mascara get to the point that it flakes. I know that I’ve done it before and got pieces in my eyes while driving, worst experience ever!
Still loving my Arbonne makeup Primer, it helps ease your foundation on and makes it last longer!
This brow pencil by NYX is similar to one I used to use by Lancome, but this is under $10. The Lancome version was around $28 and didn’t last as long. Definitely a product to try!
Finishing the list with my signature scent by Dior. I love Miss Dior and have worn different versions of the Parfum since I was 15 years old! This new scent is remastered and smells the closest to the original!!
Let me know if you try any of these products and have success or not! Also, if there is a product you’d like me to test and review comment below.
I think I will leave you with a little extra insight to a campaign I am currently working on!
I have been working with Smile Brilliant for a little while now. I am currently on day 5 of the whitening process and can already see some results! I will have a full dedicated post for the campaign once I’ve finished whitening, so stay tuned!
Have a great night!
