Hello Pumpkin!
Yeah, I like it. I’m keeping it until Thanksgiving.
Life lately has been C-H-A-O-T-I-C to say the least.
- The anxiety of having to pack up this entire apartment and clean it top to bottom is frightening me.
- Our appraisal finally came through. We love that it was appraised for enough that our loan was accepted, but we also feel a little cheated by the building company. They have been kind of a pain in the ass to work with.
- The bank approved our loan because of the appraisal. And our preliminary walk-through has been scheduled, with a follow-up final walk-through to be announced.
- Justin is traveling for work all week and next week, even though we move in two weeks so I am home with the kids – going absolutely bonkers from the lack of break.
- Finding time to blog when one of my children has decided he no longer needs naps has been pretty much impossible.
- Pregnancy has me so exhausted at the end of the day. When my head hits my pillow, I am out. Until, I have to wake up to make the two-three bottles Cece needs a night.
- Lewi is terrified that there is a ghost in our apartment, and refuses to sleep in his own room. So, when he came to me last night around 11:00 p.m. to get into my bed and kept asking, “Mom, where’d the ghost go?” I couldn’t help but freak a little bit on the inside. Like, he put is blanket over his head so he couldn’t see out my bedroom door. Creeped the hell out of me.
- Lewi has decided that burying his sister alive under blankets or stuffing her into small spaces with blankets is his new found hobby. I’m constantly hearing crying all day, and trying to find where it’s coming from. She’s usually trapped under our side tables in the living room or in an open cube hole in our cube organizer.
- Cece is in the phase that she puts EVERYTHING into her mouth. I remember this long ass phase vividly with Lewi and I was not looking forward to it again. Unfortunately, some caring people did some careless things by getting Lewi birthday presents he loves that are FULL of tiny pieces I keep finding all over the apartment and in Cece’s mouth. I swear I can’t look away for more than five seconds because if I do she will be gagging.
- I’m sure there’s more, but I’m just too exhausted to remember!
So, yes. I have my hands completely full and it’s been a crazy life as of late. Luckily, this season of life is short and I know I’m going to miss it sooner than I expect.
To keep myself sane through all of this chaos, I have really dived deep into Pinterest. I know that’s not necessarily therapy, but it does put my mind at ease when I’m taking my nightly bath.
What have I been Pinteresting, you ask? I have been designing the story boards for each of the rooms in our new home. I don’t expect to have our place exactly how we want it for a couple years because we plan to make major changes to the bathrooms. But I do plan to have decor the way I like it by this time next year.
One of my favorite things to pin lately have been letterboard quotes. I love my letterboard. Well, I actually have two different sizes and I love them both! I don’t know if you use one, but if you don’t I recommend trying one out.
If you’re super witty and creative, definitely try to create your own unique quotes and designs. If you don’t care much about your own creativity, go to Pinterest. Letterfolk posts so many letterboard quotes that you’ll never have to worry about running out of material.
Also, keep in mind if you are more on the impatient side – these things take time. They seriously take so much time to actually put together, and I don’t think that’s really addressed. But, if you have the patience for cute quotes, they are totally worth it.
So, instead of coming up with my own quotes for you – I have decided instead to share my favorite quotes straight from my Pinterest boards. These letterboard quotes all revolve around the general season of Fall and are most appropriate for the month of September. I was going to do the month of October, but decided I will create a separate post for that at the end of the month!
Ready? Here we go!
