Readers…. readers, readers, readers,
I’m back!
I know it’s been like over two weeks since you last heard from me, and I deeply apologize for that!
It’s been a whirlwind of a month for our house, and I needed to take a little break from everything social media to re-inspire myself. I didn’t think it would be more than a week break, but every time I picked up my phone to maybe check Instagram or even a text message, I found myself pressing the side power button and going back to my kiddo. It was a much needed momcation.
It wasn’t until last night that I was positively confident in the fact that I was ready to return! So, here I am. Completely and perfectly and unconditionally present.
Something I’ve wanted to share with you for a couple weeks are the top prints to try this late spring, early summer!
palm leaf: OTS top | pajamas | bucket bag | wedges
flamingo: sunglasses | skirt | shorts | top
pineapple: top | earrings | crochet bag | shorts
watermelon: sun hat | swimsuit | skirt | dress
lemon: dress | clutch | espadrilles | swimsuit
What do you think of those prints?
I’m actually vibing off them all! I love the fruit pattern trend. I could have just decided to state that fruit is trending, but I really wanted to go into depth of which flavors will be hot! They are just so stinkin’ cute and add such personality to any ensemble. Also, if you’re into that vintage-y style (guilty), fruit patterns will be the perfect addition to your closet!
Another way to achieve the cutesy, quirky retro look is to find items with flamingos on them! The flamingo print is the perfect way to transition your wardrobe from spring to summer. I foresee this print popping up on Instagram all summer long. Pair your adorable flamingo sunglasses with a pink girly drink and an absurd pool float-y and you’re set for the rest of the season!
Speaking of pool float-ies, I found coordinating options for every print on this list! What a fun and simple way to add some character to your summer excursions. There were also a number of funky tumblers to match the pool accessories. 🙂
The first print listed (probably the hottest of all the prints), is more of a stamp. Palm leaf prints are being found EVERYWHERE lately. I can’t say that I’m disappointed in the least about this trend, either. I, personally, have started a sleeve of tattoos on my left arm, and one of the tattoos is a made-up leaf somewhere between a palm leaf and a fern branch. I absolutely love the look and texture of those types of leaves and love that I don’t really have to invest any cash into that trend when I’m sporting one on my arm. It’s almost like I’m ahead of the trends. 😉
I am so pumped to try out all of these trends within the next couple months and give you some styling tips along the way!
I hope you have a splendid day, let me know if there are any prints you’re interested in trying this summer in the comments!
xo, Tay
