Hello Lovely!
A couple weeks ago I brought you this post of inspiration for the graduates of 2019. Today I am giving you all the inspo for any grad party attendees!
Every late spring, graduation season comes and goes. It doesn’t matter who you are, by April you’re bound to have one grad announcement hanging from a magnet on your fridge. There are high school and even college graduations to keep you on your toes!
This year we have invitations to six high school and one college. Unfortunately, most of the high school grad parties are on the same day, so we will only be able to attend one or two depending on the distance between the party locations. This year my baby sister graduates, and I’m still not okay about it!
Trying to decide on something to wear to these grad parties has brought me to tears this year. My postpartum body is still full of fluff and none of the clothes in my closet fit. I have looked far and wide for styles to flatter the womanly body I now possess. Luckily, I was able to find ten different dresses appropriate for any age or body shape!
Keeping in mind that the day is all about the grad, I went with less bold styles and colors to not take away from their day. Any dress on this list would be great for any photo ops that you may have to endure during that day without outshining any graduates.
I love this season. It’s so fun to see all the little ones you used to babysit grow up and start their lives as adults! There is so much family time we get to share along with laughs.
I can’t wait to watch my little sister walk up the stairs as a high school student, and cross the stage as a graduate. She will return to her seat, stand, clap, walk out to Pomp and Circumstance and throw up her cap in celebration of adulthood. I will most likely cry, and my other sister will laugh at me. That’s how the story goes!
How many graduation invitations did you receive this year? Do you stick them to your fridge too, or do you have a more creative way of displaying them? Let me know in the comments!
