Happy Tuesday/Shoes Day!
I started working on this post last night, but had to stop as it was nearing two o’clock and I was exhausted! The only part I like about doing work in bed is that I get to snuggle right up to J as he sleeps.. Love that man.
Thanks to the forecast, it looks like we may actually be able to start planning for spring! It’s supposed to be in the forties all week. That may seem cold to some, but those people are definitely not from the North!
Anyway, today I am sharing my top picks for shoes trending this spring that would make great transitions into summer!
1 · Free People | 2 · ASOS FERA | 3 · Kaitlyn Pan | 4 · Marc Fisher “Annie” | 5 · BP | 6 · Mix No. 6 | 7 · Marc Fisher “Adalyne” & dupe | 8 · Soludos | 9 · Linea Paolo | 10 · Tory Burch
The first shoe on this list is the Pointy Toe Boot by Free People and man have I seen them everywhere! The best thing about booties is that they are a three season staple. If you can’t decide whether or not to splurge on a pair you love, just remember that you will get your use out of them in the months to come! I love the unique opening on the side of these booties! They are so simple, but cry indie-vibes when worn with jeans or even dresses.. I chose the blue option because that just adds a touch more of character to the little leather numbers.
I have a couple different colorful pom/tassel options on this list. If you’ve been on instagram lately, you will know why. They are the hottest trend of spring 2017! There are poms and tassels on everything from your shoes, bags, sunhats, to earrings. Thank you Baublebar for inspiring my entire spring wardrobe!
The third shoe on this list may seem a little expensive to you for sandals, but what if I told you these are dupes to a designer sandal that retails for over $900. Yes, that’s right.. These Valentino dupes are perfect for any spring/summer ensemble. There are different color options, but I really love the all black rockstud look! It really reads rebel, rock star to me and that’s the kind of girl I like to be in the summer months. I’ve done lots of research on whether or not these dupes are worth it. After all that, I can say they almost sound too good to be true. They will be part of my summer collection, so stay tuned for a really invasive review in the near future.
Espadrille style shoes and sandals are trending every spring season. This year seems to be even more so! They have gone as far as making Espadrille styled sneakers a thing. That’s probably not a bandwagon I will be jumping on this year, but I have had both Marc Fisher creations on this list in my personal wishlist since December.. Yeah, not even kidding. I cry every time they sell out, but I keep going back and forth in between the two. I don’t want both styles, I only need one. But which one do I want!? I am driving Justin crazy at this point… The only thing I have narrowed down is that I want the taupe option in one or the other.. I initially wanted blush, but when I saw them “in real life” (ie Instagram) I didn’t like how the color translated.
When looking at Espadrille flats I really like the laced up option version, they would be perfect for a date night or paired with a casual dress running summer errands. I love the idea of color block flats, but if I’m being honest I would only ever buy the Chanel version.. but I just don’t have $700 to spend on a pair of flats…. I mean I can dream though! The Tory Burch flats are very similar in style to the Chanel style, so they’re a great option for fashion on a budget!
The last shoe (second to last on this list) that I totally recommend this season is the block heel mule. I don’t know what it is, but I am LOVING the revised version of the 90s style shoe. It’s not a clog (thank goodness) so it doesn’t have that bulky chunky look or feel. They are so sleek and chic. I just want a pair now! I’m not sure if I will get this exact pair or not. I really love the look, but I’m so sick of strictly online shopping. I just want to try on some merchandise! Thank you weather for finally starting to look bright, and make me want to leave my house on the search of the perfect mules!
So, that really concludes my list. Like I said before, I really love all the exact shoes I put on this list, but would love to be able to purchase them in person.. Of course I live in Fargo, ND where all the stores that have filed for bankruptcy seem to be. Thank goodness for nordstrom.com. Without that source, I would really be lost (and have more money).
Maybe I should compile a listed guide for online shopping! What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
